First in the Greek market INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS Today, G.K. RIZAKOS SA is the largest company producing Expanded Polystyrene in Greece with an annual capacity of 300.000 m3 EPS for buildings, and 25 shape molding machines for the production of packaging materials from EPS, with an annual capacity of 8.000 tons of raw material. G.K. RIZAKOS A.V.E.T.E. is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified by the European certification body TUV NORD for all its positions and processes and its products are CE marked certified by the German accreditation body GSH/ RAL as well as EPDs for most of its products. It also has a REDcert2 certificate for its products from renewable materials and ECOVADIS silver in sustainability management issues. The company is a member of the Hellenic Association of Expanded Polystyrene Producers (EPS Hellas). It has Expanded Polystyrene products for every building use and in various types such as for wall insulation, concrete elements and external thermal insulation with trade names ipor composite insulating plates, NEOCOAT and NEOPLAK (Expanded Polystyrene from BASF®), ISOPOR, for underfloor heating ISOFLOOR, for insulation of NEOTETTO and NEOTETTO Air tile roofs (unique in Greece), for inverted thermal insulation of roofs and thermal insulation of perimeter basement walls PERIPOR (New Expanded Polystyrene from BASF® of very low water absorption) and for production of lightweight concrete with EPS ISOLBETON granules. At the same time, it has the STYROFILL sound-insulating filling for wooden floors, Cubettiere ready-mixed concrete compression test matrices, TUBI rubble collectors, ISOPOR arte high-density expanded polystyrene (EPS) decorative moulds for the concrete construction of various decorative elements such as: frames, furrows, columns, arches, domes and advertising structures. G.K. RIZAKOS SA is an exclusive representative of BOVELACCI interior decoration products, POLIGEL gelatinous mold release and a commercial partner of the companies KNAUF, SIKA, FISCHER, etc. All the company's products and merchandise are available from its branches in Athens, Thessaloniki and Lamia. In 2022 the turnover of the company was 24,000,000 Euros. 40 years of progress G.K. RIZAKOS SA., with careful steps, with continuous evaluation of its investments and performance, is steadily progressing to establish and dominate the Greek market in the areas of RECYCLING - INSULATION - CONSTRUCTION - DECORATION - PACKAGING The company is converted into a Public Limited Company with an initial capital of €200,000 and is transferred to the new privately owned facilities at the 1st km of P.E.O. Lamias - Domokou, where the first modernization of the production in Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) for building use takes place. The company expands in Athens, creating a branch, begins to deal with the production of protective packaging from Expanded Polystyrene (EPS Flow Packing) and installs CNC and cutters (CAD/CAM) with two axes, for cutting the foamed plastics. The company installs in the Lamia factory the first shape moulding machines using moulds for Expanded Polystyrene (injection moulding type) and enters the field of packaging. The company expands in Thessaloniki opening a new branch to cover the needs of North Greece Acquisition of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) industry "ATLANTIS SA". Beginning construction of a new modern production unit in the Industrial Estate of Lamia Merger of "ATLANTIS S.A." in G. K. RIZAKOS SA and its operation as the 2nd Athens Branch. Transfer and full operation of the company to the new facilities in the Industrial Estate of Lamia. The company's new production unit was built on a privately owned lot of 22 acres, with 9.000 m2 of buildings. The most modern machines for the production of Expanded Polystyrene have been installed in these buildings. The company's pre-existing facilities at the 1st km P.E.O. Lamias - Domokou, after the completion of the relocation to the Industrial Estate of Lamia, were turned into a state-of-the-art distribution and marketing store for all insulating and building materials. Management decides to proceed with the merger of the two Athens Branches in a privately owned area of 5.500 m2 in the Menidi region of Attica. Start of construction of a new factory. Beginning construction of a new building of 3.000 m2 in the Industrial Estate of Lamia to house the new state of art production line The founder of the company Rizakos Georgios retires and his son Rizakos Konstantinos Mechanical Engineer and his daughter Elina Architect take over the management. Management decides to transfer the warehouses of northern Greece to META Logistics in Neochorouda RIZAKOS is and will remain a family business.
