Ground floor

Heat Insulation of ground floor

In the case of ground floor that lies on the ground we must take into consideration the protection of materials against the humidity of the ground with the suitable placement of a sealing layer. On the soil it is laid grit and ballast of thickness of approximately 20cm that interrupts the continuity of capillary vessels of soil. In the case of laying ballast, a sheet of polyethylene, will deter the infiltration of concrete in the gaps of ballast. Then it is laid a plate of concrete of cleanness. On the flattening layer water insulation is placed constituted from two or more layers of asphaltic membranes. A layer of geo-fabric protects the sealing layer from its overlying layers.

Then the insulating layer is placed also on this holder plate of armed concrete. On the plate is added an equalizing layer of filling that covers networks of water supply, sewerage etc with light weight concrete prepared with special grains of Expanded Polystyrene ISOLBETON in density 800kg/m3 for the smaller possible cost of construction, but also for additional heat and sound insulation. Finally, the final covering is applied (e.x. tiles with welding or glue).

For the insulating layer the use of Expanded Polystyrene with graphite is suggested such as NEOCOAT BT EPS 150, NEOPLAK BT EPS 150 and ISOPOR EPS 150 in the suitable thickness according to the regulation of Energy Efficiency of Buildings.
