Heat Insulation of floor above basement

The heat insulation of the floor above the not heated basement space can be done with the same way is done in the case of pilotis. It is placed under the holder plate in order to exploit the thermal capacity of the space in new and existing buildings.

It is suggested the use of Expanded Polystyrene with graphite such as NEOCOAT BT EPS 150, NEOPLAK BT EPS 150, and ISOPOR EPS 150 in the suitable thickness according to the regulation of Energy Efficiency of Buildings.

Alternatively can be used composite panel of Expanded Polystyrene with graphite such as NEOPOR and water resistant plasterboard KNAUF known as BETOBOARD. If as heat insulating material is selected the BETOBOARD of KNAUF then it can work as wooden formwork of the manufacture and then it can remain and not be detached.
